We were delighted that the Secretary of State for Education Bridget Phillipson chose to visit Rushey Mead Academy on her trip to Leicester in January. She was welcomed by Trust CEO Sarah Ridley, Principal Vicky Barwell and other members of the Trust’s Executive Team. The Secretary of State met with members of Rushey’s senior leadership team and visited several lessons, including Year 11 Science, Year 7 History and Year 10 Maths. She also spoke to groups of students, who were all eloquent, expressive and exceedingly polite.
