A wonderful evening of celebration was enjoyed by Mead staff, pupils and their guests at the third annual Mead Awards on 20th June. The awards celebrate the accomplishments of Mead staff and pupils and help to create a sense of belonging across the Mead family of schools.

Nearly 150 guests gathered at the Venue@DMU to recognise the 21 staff and 21 pupil finalists and winners in the seven award categories. Rather than recognising academic achievements, each award category represented one of TMET’s core values, the 7Cs: Challenge, Character, Collaboration, Community, Courage, Creativity, Culture.  Schools were able to nominate one staff member and one pupil in each of the award categories. It was then a difficult job for the central team to narrow these down to three finalists in each category. All finalists and their guests were invited to attend, and the winner was announced at the ceremony.

We are very proud of all our nominees, finalists and winners. It was a joy to see the pride on the faces of staff, children and their parents as they went on stage to collect their trophies and certificates. We look forward to celebrating again next year.
