Nether Hall Green Light to Join TMET
We are delighted that Nether Hall School has been given the green light by the DfE to join the Mead family. The school and TMET have been working towards a formal partnership for the past few months, and DfE approval was the last major hurdle in the process.
Nether Hall is a special school for 133 pupils from 4-19 years who have a range of educational needs. Located on Keyham Lane West, it is next door to Orchard Mead Academy, another school in the Mead family.
TMET is a growing family of 13 primary and secondary schools in Leicester and Leicestershire. Nether Hall will be the 14th school, and the first special school, to be part of the Trust.
Sarah Ridley, TMET CEO, said: “Nether Hall is known for its exceptional support for pupils with special educational needs. We are excited to bring their specialist expertise into our family, as we know it will benefit our collective knowledge and the wider TMET community.”
“During the consultation for our #Mead2030 six-year strategy, staff and parent expressed a strong desire for our Trust to grow locally. Not only does this partnership align with our mission to work together to make a positive difference, but Nether Hall is an excellent addition to the Mead family. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about what lies ahead.”
Sarah Naylor, Head Teacher of Nether Hall, said: “I am proud and privileged to lead such an amazing school and work with a skilled staff team, committed to ensuring the best education and care for our children. The pupils here are inspirational and at the heart of everything we do. I truly believe that being part of the Mead family will create even more opportunities for our children and staff to learn, grow and shine.”
